![]() ![]() The LR Stinger made the water splash up about 4 or 5 feet. A dead center hit with WMR TMJ just busted the cup open with a crack down the length of the cup. I realize that water or even ballistics gel are not flesh and bone, but I don't have a swine cadaver to do my ballistic tests on. I set up red solo cups of water and fired away. I thought I would do a very primitive test between the 22LR Stingers and the 22WMR FMJ. 22 LR ammo at home including CCI Stingers, CCI Segmented HP, and some standard bulk plain jane 22. 22 WMR I can find at the momment are CCI Maxi Mag TMJ. I wanted either some Hornady Critical Defense or Speer Gold dots, but the only. Recently purchased an NAA mini revolver in 22 WMR with a 22 LR conversion cylinder (1 1/8" barrel). Sometimes comfort and concealability win my choice or sometimes I like a back up. I have and carry other calibers when I desire and understand the capabilities and limits of rimfire ammunition.
